Twitter index: Google does a ‘barrel roll,’ National Sandwich Day
Twitter users are going crazy over the Google “do a barrel roll” Easter Egg that has been discovered.
“Go to the Google homepage and type ‘do a barrel roll’ without the quotes,’ urge microbloggers, “you’ll be pleasantly surprised.”
Microbloggers were equally excited about celebrating US-founded National Sandwich Day November 3 and are busy talking about eating sandwiches or getting hungry looking at other people’s posts about sandwiches.
Twitter is also full with tweets about the things that music taught people in 2011 including “that you don’t need to be talented anymore to make millions,” “that Justin Bieber is waiting for us under the mistletoe” and that “Friday is even more important than I already thought it was.”
“Life would be better” and “ways to get me mad” are trending in Twitter’s most talked about topics for the second day running.
The hashtag “#MeEnojoCuando” is in second place,”that’s just stupid” is in fifth place and “#liesthatalwaysworked” is in seventh place.
Tweeps in Malaysia are welcoming American model and designer Kimora Lee Simmons to the country with “Welcome to Malaysia” tweets, and American Twitter users are complaining that “Comedy Central should never air a Katt Williams special censored, All i hear is this (bleep) that (bleep) this (bleep) that (bleep).”
